PEACHES
Peach trees are the leading deciduous fruit in Texas. They grow at a medium rate and under ideal conditions, Peach trees are expected to live for approximately 30 years. Peaches are rich in many vitamins, minerals, and beneficial plant compounds. They are packed with antioxidants and offer small amounts of magnesium, iron, and B vitamins. Peach trees need full sunlight to thrive, and they are self-fertile, which means it pollinates itself.
There are many different varieties of peaches that you can grow. Bell of Georgia Peach is a large, white-fleshed fruit with an intensely sweet and delicious flavor. This variety is ideal for home gardens.
Ranger Peach produces a large, yellow-fleshed peach. It has good quality and flavor, suitable for canning and freezing. This tree is vigorous and high yielding. For a unique choice, try Elberta Peach. These fruits are large and elongated with a yellow skin and a yellow flesh. They are very rich and sweet, a good all-around Peach.
APPLES
You know what they say: “An Apple a day keeps the doctor away!” Apples are extremely nutritious and beneficial to your health. They are rich in fiber and antioxidants. Eating an Apple is linked to lowering many chronic conditions. Plus, they also promote weight loss and can improve gut and brain health. They need full sun to thrive and are expected to ripen in the early fall.
Choose from the different colors and flavors to discover your favorite Apples. Red Delicious Apples are large fruits with dark red skin. They have a tender and juicy flesh with a sweet and distinct flavor. This is a hardy and high yielding variety.
Gala Apples are round and medium sized. The skin is golden yellow with a reddish-orange blush. These apples are crisp with a flavorful yellow flesh. For a little tartness, try growing Granny Smith Apples! The fruit is very large with a bright green skin. It is firm with a sweet and tart flavor, perfect for snacking, filling pies, and making sauce.
APRICOTS

There are many different varieties of Fig trees to choose from! Celeste Figs are the sweetest option available. They have a violet to purple-brownish skin with a white to rose center. This is a very productive tree that produces quality fruit ideal for eating or making preserves.
Blue Giant Fig is a huge fruit with an attractive purple skin and delicious melting amber flesh. The fruit is very sweet and once established, this variety is drought tolerant!
PEARS
Pears are a part of history. This delicious, bell-shaped fruits has been enjoyed since ancient times. They are highly nutritious and they provide important vitamins and minerals. They are rich in folate, vitamin C, copper, and potassium.
Barlett Pear is the most popular variety around! It produces large fruit with a short neck. The skin is smooth, waxy, and yellow while the flesh is sweet and white. Its compact growth habit makes it ideal for smaller gardens.
Moonglow Pear has fruit that resembles the Barlett Pear, but the skin is more brownish green. It has a soft, juicy flesh that is nearly free of the grit cells for a smoother texture. It is hardy, blight resistant, and you will get many pears to enjoy.

Methley Plums produce medium to large fruits. They have a reddish purple skin with an amber flesh. The sweet flavor is distinct and perfect for a healthy snack or creating Plum preserves. This variety is a strong, vigorous tree that is a dependable bearer.
Santa Rosa Plums are large, oval fruits. They have purple skin with firm, yellow flesh. The flavor is pleasing and tart.
FRUIT TREE PLANTING AND CARE TIPS
