HOW-TO MAKE A PAPER BOW TIE
Adorn each Father’s Day gift with a homemade bow tie! It is easy to make and a great way to reuse any left-over paper around the house.
STEP 1: CUT YOUR PAPER
First, cut your paper or kraft paper into rectangles. This will be used for the main part of the bow tie.
Next, cut about ½ inch strips of paper for each bow tie. This will be used to wrap around the center of the bow tie.
*Always use adult supervision when using scissors or cutting tools if you are creating your bow ties with children.
STEP 2: FOLD YOUR PAPER
Fold your square pieces of paper in an accordion fold.
Remember to fold the long side of each piece of paper so that you have room for the strip at the center of your bow tie.
STEP 3: COMPLETE YOUR BOW TIE
Tape or glue the strip of paper around the center of the folded paper. Fan out each side to complete the bow tie shape.
