Pumpkin Pyle
Do you enjoy exploring the Dallas Arboretum during the fall? They have wonderful displays with gorgeous pumpkins from Pumpkin Pyle. Adorn your home with the same fantastic selection! Our fabulous Autumn Harvest goodies are from the same family-owned pumpkin farm!
Pumpkin Pyle is in Floydada, Texas. Floydada is a rural area on the high plains of West Texas, and it is known as the Pumpkin Capital of Texas. Pumpkin Pyle has been family owned and operated for 3 generations. It was started by Robert Pyle in 1991 and it has grown into a thriving produce provider for Texas. Pumpkin Pyle has 900 acres that produces a vast number of pumpkins in many different varieties.
How do the pumpkins get from the farm to our stores? When the pumpkins are just right, they are picked and organized in large bins.
After the mini pumpkins are organized, they are set up for bath time. Each mini pumpkin is soaked in water to remove soil or mud.
When they are clean, they are moved onto a drying conveyor with big fans to remove any excess moisture.
The clean and dry pumpkins are sorted into cartons and are ready to be delivered!
The large pumpkins are picked straight from the field, placed directly into the pumpkin bins, and delivered to our stores!
