WHAT IS SOIREE® KAWAII CATHARANTHUS?
Soiree® Kawaii Catharanthus is a low-maintenance, heat-loving annual. It is covered in clusters of small, star-shaped blooms that glitter against the dark green and glossy leaves. The name “Kawaii” means “cute” in Japanese to describe the adorable flower size and shape. The Soiree® Collection from Suntory Flowers reinvents the variety best known as the vinca plant, also considered as the little sister to vincas. This new variety was created to offer a different look and other distinct benefits. It is available in gorgeous shades of white peppermint, coral, and light purple.
SOIREE® KAWAII CATHARANTHUS PLANT CHARACTERISTICS
Soiree® Kawaii Catharanthus is an annual bedding plant. It is highly self-branching with a tight mounding habit and shape. They do not get “leggy” and maintain a continuous coverage of blooms. Soiree® Kawaii Catharanthus will grow to about 10 inches in height with an 18 inch spread. It is tolerant to our city environment and brings vivid color to your landscape. This plant creates small mounds of carefree color in your garden while providing outstanding coverage.

SUMMER FLOWERS PLANTING TIPS FOR SOIREE® KAWAII CATHARANTHUS
Sun Requirements
Soiree® Kawaii Catharanthus does best in full sunlight to partial shade throughout the day. This plant prefers warm environments and thrives in the heat.
Planting in Flowerbeds
Plant your Soiree® Kawaii Catharanthus with Calloway’s Premium Flowerbed Garden Soil. Calloway’s Premium Flowerbed Garden Soil is made from the highest quality ingredients, it provides optimal conditions for vibrant blooms, and contains water saving ingredients like expanded shale, coconut coir, and earthworm castings. Additional ingredients include composted pine bark, composted rice hulls, sphagnum peat moss, dolomite lime, and more to help your flowerbeds perform their best. Calloway’s Premium Flowerbed Garden Soil also contains beneficial mycorrhizae which transports and increases nutrient uptake to the plant and organic ingredients to help promote rapid root growth, enhance nutrient retention, and balances air and water around the roots. Also added is a beneficial, slow-release fertilizer to help feed your plants for up to 6 months.
For new beds, till the top layer of existing soil with 3 inches of Calloway’s Premium Flowerbed Garden Soil. Smooth the surface, gently break up the root ball and plant your flowers. Space out accordingly, keeping in mind the spread growth and water in thoroughly.
Planting in Containers
For planting your Soiree® Kawaii Catharanthus in containers, plant with Calloway’s Premium Container Potting Soil. Our new Premium Container Potting Soil helps your plants get the best start for healthier, continued growth. It contains the highest quality ingredients for your planting success. For added moisture control, this soil is made with water saving ingredients, like hydrogel water holding crystals, expanded shale and coconut coir. Additional ingredients include sphagnum peat moss, composted rice hulls, composted pine bark, earthworm castings, dolomite lime, and trace elements. Silicon Enriched™ to provide container plants with the same benefits as those grown in the earth’s soil and it helps to improve drought tolerance, delay wilting, and increases stem strength in some crops. Calloway’s Premium Container Potting Soil also contains a slow release fertilizer which feeds for up to 6 months.
To plant in containers, select a container with a drain hole. Fill your container with Calloway’s Premium Container Potting Soil, leaving room for the plant. Gently break up the root ball and plant. Water in thoroughly and add more soil as needed.
Watering Guidelines
Soiree® Kawaii Catharanthus thrives in evenly moist soil conditions and will not tolerate standing water. Allow the soil to dry before watering again.
