Great Gift Ideas For Mom
STEP 1: SUPPLIES
Here is the list of supplies that you will need for your gifts:
- Small indoor plants like succulents, ferns, kalanchoe plants, cactus, aloe, and more
- Small pottery and containers
- Sand, glass, moss, and/or pebbles
- Calloway’s Premium Potting Soil or Black Gold® Cactus Mix
- Small sticks, toothpicks, or popsicle sticks
- Scrapbook 3-D stickers
- Paint or spray paint for sticks if needed
STEP 2: PAINT
First, to add that little something extra, we decided to spray paint our sticks. You can too! Try neon colors, gorgeous metallic gold, patterns and designs; the options are endless and the choice is up to you! Design in the style of mom!
Lay everything out to make sure all is covered in an even coating of paint. Allow each side to dry before flipping over.
STEP 3: STICKERS
Once the sticks are dry, attach your 3-D scrap-booking stickers. If you don’t want to use stickers, create your own, personalized tag and attach it with tape or glue. Try to use 1-2 only per planter to not distract from the beautiful plants!
STEP 4: PLANTING
Grab your small pots and add a layer of stones to help with drainage. Fill partially with Calloway’s Premium Potting Soil or Black Gold® Cactus Mix, and then add your plant!
Complete the look by adding colorful stones, moss, pebbles, or sand if you want! If not, enjoy the natural beauty of our soil.
Once planted, top off with your Mother’s Day accent pieces.
