- Terra Cotta Pottery & Saucers
- Red, White, and Blue Spray Paint
- Star Stencil
- White Acrylic Paint
- Small Sponge

Step One: Paint your Terra Cotta Pottery
Feeling artistic? First, create a patriotic color scheme and paint your terra cotta pottery in shades of red, white, and blue. Paint one container red and the other blue. Then, paint the saucers in white. Make sure the paint has good coverage and allow it to dry completely.
Step Two: Add Stars
After the containers dry, add a burst of stars. Grab your stencil and hold it securely against the pottery.
Get a small sponge and dip it into the white acrylic paint. Dab the sponge on the stencil to create the star pattern. When you are finished, carefully remove the stencil, and allow the stars to dry completely before planting.
