This perennial bulb is grown as an annual and can be grown in garden beds or containers. The California Garlic is a decorative landscaping choice as it only grows from 8 to 10 inches tall, great for smaller spaces in urban gardens.
Garlic prefers rich, well-draining soil in areas with full sun. They may rot if left in overly wet, poor draining soils. This soft neck variety is ready to harvest in just 3 to 4 months after planting. An easy plant for beginner gardeners!
