Ficus Repens is a versatile little plant that is happy in bright or filtered sunlight.
Ficus Repens is a small tropical plant that can creep along the ground, hang in a basket, or climb any vertical surface. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and requires only occasional pruning to remove old foliage and to keep it in its place. It has no significant negative characteristics. Ficus Repens performs nicely in hanging baskets, terrariums, and combination plantings.
Ficus Repens grows up to 3-4 inches tall and up to 4-6 feet wide. It is a small, creeping plant that will grow fast, covering bare areas quickly. This plant should be grown in bright indirect sunlight, but is known to tolerate lower light levels. Ficus plants require even moisture, good soil drainage, and cannot tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America. All Ficus species will tolerate indoor conditions once acclimated. They are often considered finicky because they drop leaves, but this is usually in response to a low light situation, being moved to a different light intensity, or from a watering problem.
