Hardy in zones 3 through 8, the Issai Hardy Kiwi will perform best if protected from the hot afternoon sun in warmer climates. It prefers medium moisture and well-draining soil. Plant in slightly acidic soil or use amendments such as Sulphur to lower pH. Fruiting and flowers form on the previous year's growth. Fruit ripens in late August; perfect to snack on during the fall!
