Jade Plant is an upright-growing succulent that forms a tree-shaped plant with small, succulent leaves and an occasional, white, star-shaped flower.

Jade Plant is a succulent with an upright growth habit. This is a very low maintenance plant. It has no significant negative characteristics. Jade Plant is recommended for those who like an Oriental feeling to their plant groupings because it grows into a tree-shaped plant that resembles Bonsai.

Jade Plant grows from 6 inches to 3 feet tall and can grow to about 2 feet wide. It grows slowly as a small tree-formed plant with small leaves, which gives it an Oriental appearance when planted in a ceramic pot. This shrub should be grown in full sunlight, but benefits from afternoon shading. It does require minimal moisture, but as a Cactus can withstand being dry. It will not tolerate any standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH as long as it drains completely. This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America. Jade Plant can be used as a single specimen in a glazed ceramic container or as a "thriller" in a mixed container.
